What is the purpose of music at this church?

We are careful to remember that all music at our church is to bring glory to God, who is worthy of our praise. Instrumental music (keyboard, organ, guitar, handbells etc.) can express praise in a way that words cannot. The choir sings texts that coordinate with the scripture readings and message of the service. The congregation contributes through the singing of hymns of faith, old and new, and the words of these hymns teach, comfort and encourage us in our spiritual growth.
